Woke up this morning with snow and ice on the ground. For as far as I could see, there was a white blanket covering us! So beautiful... great START to a rough day!
Tim drove all the way to work to discover not only had he left his lunch at home, he had also driven all the way there on a flat tire! There is a nail in the tire...UGH... so it has to be replaced! In case you don't know this about Tim, he works with animals... well, he had a cat get really ticked off today and pee on him! Went to put the spare tire on the car & it was flat; so he had to borrow another car to go get it aired up! After making lots of phone calls and trying to get the money together to pay for a new tire, Tim took a break from work to go get it at the cheapest location... got there & they were sold out! So, back to work he went. Then, when he got off, he made it to the next cheapest tire place & got it fixed... NOT at all how he wanted to spend his day....
On the homefront, Mommy (that's me) was pulling her hair out! Ya' know how I blogged earlier about my happiest kid ever... my ever-smiling child, Jonathan. Well, I think just to prove me wrong, he had a HORRIBLE 2 year old day! All he wanted to do was cry, whine, and throw fits! Just before nap time, he, Asher, and Bella were all crying... all were tired...
Xander says, "Mommy, is this your worst day ever?"
It all got put into perspective at that point. As frustrated as I was ... from all going wrong with Tim and all the kids crying and whining... it was NOWHERE NEAR my worst day ever! Thanks to my 5 year old for helping me out with that one! I had to apologize for getting so frustrated and yelling at all of them.
Xander said, "Mommy, I know even when you yell at me you still love me!"
Have I mentioned that he's an awesome kid?
After Tim got home, we had a delicious dinner (Chicken Stir Fry & Rice) and spent the night hanging out with the kiddos....who, by the way, were in a MUCH better mood from their naps!! We let Xander & Asher stay up "late" to watch cartoons (since tomorrow is another snow day), and I got to sit with them snuggled up on the couch before bed!
LOVE those moments! LOVE those kids!
