Last night, thanks to my in-laws, Tim and I had a date night.... I LOVE when that happens! We went out to dinner with a Red Lobster giftcard we received as a Christmas gift (LOVE free food)!! Then we went to see a movie with a giftcard we received as a Christmas gift (LOVE free movies)!! Then, after the movie, we went to get dessert at Cherry Berry with a giftcard we received as a Christmas gift (LOVE free dessert)!! SO, our entire night was free!! How can you beat that? Great company...Free babysitting...Free YUMMY food... Free GREAT movie... Free DELICIOUS dessert!! Gotta love a free date night!! Did I mention the word FREE?????

Today was fun! My wonderful friend (Tami) has beautiful twin daughters (Lilly & Elly). They turned one this week, so we celebrated their first birthday with them today! They were so very cute! Elly, the more dainty, girlie-girl of the two had a princess cat cake and her table was decorated with kitty cat stuff. Lilly, the not-so-prissy of the two LOVES Kung Fu Panda (when I say "loves, that might be an understatement)...so her cake/table was decorated with KFP stuff! Very unique girls...very unique personalities! AND YET... both were equally messy with their first cakes!
My kids amazed me while were were at Tami's house!! There were lots of people there, so I figured that Asher and Bella would freak out a little bit..they get a little shy around "strange" people. Jonathan and Xander...not so much... wasn't concerned at all about them! All 4 went right into the living room and started playing w/o so much as a whine or a whimper! In fact, Bella grew quite attached to "GranDave" (Lilly & Elly's grandpa)! I stood there in awe watching her (my most shy kid) play catch with him. She talked to him, played with him, and you'd never guess that she was my most timid child! I love how "at home" my kids feel at my friend's house... makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!! :)
Kids are all napping now...so that makes mommy happy too! Looking forward to the rest of the weekend... oh, no I'm not... the rest of the weekend means I have to work...BOO... oh well! Here's hoping work is fun this weekend and not annoying & exhausting!!
How's your weekend so far?
