On Monday, October 22, 2007, I ran around with my friend ALL DAY! It was a cold, dreary, rainy day. So, as she and I ran (literally) from car to store everywhere that we went, I had to carry my 2 year old, Xander! I was 4 days shy of my due date with Asher, so it probably wasn't good to run while carrying a 30 pound kid in & out of stores... but oh well! By 4 that afternoon, contractions were present...FULL FORCE! I had to pick Tim up at work at 5... told him I was timing contractions....the look on his face was great- wish I had a picture!! Anyways, we went home, he cooked dinner while I drank TONS of water & laid down to see if they'd stop. After an hour, called my OB & went into the hospital!
At about 10 the next morning, Tuesday, October 23, 2007, I delivered my Amazing Asher; my second born son; my "middle child!" Asher, you were the only one of all four children that was delivered and immediately placed in my arms. We were able to snuggle and bond right away...and for that reason, I believe you and I have a very special bond! You were my "snuggle bug"
from the
very beginning of time... and you always will be! Even though you pooped all over me, I loved those first few moments of just me & you!!! Xander wasn't sure what to think of you... after all, he had had me all to himself for 2 years!! He quickly adapted and ABSOLUTELY loved you!
You seemed to grow up so quickly, you were humming melodies to songs by the time you were 12 months old...none of the other kids did that! You have quite an ear for music! Even now, you love to sing and dance with anything on the TV or radio! I can't wait to see what you do with that talent!
Your birthdays...

When Jonathan and Bella joine
d our family, you were
only 14 months old. You didn't like the attention they got AT ALL! I think it really hurt your feelings that mommy wasn't there to snuggle with as much anymore! It only took about 2 or 3 weeks for you to warm up to them... and to forgive me for interrupting your "Asher Time!" by having them!
You talk all of the time nowadays! I remember a time when I thought, "Boy, I sure wish Asher would talk...life would be so much easier if I knew what he wanted." NOW... I find myself thinking, "I sure wish Asher would stop talking!!!!" When you tell a story, or when you ask a question, you always squint your right eye...like you're deep in thought! It's the cutest thing ever! You still give the biggest hugs on the planet! Even though you want to be a big boy- like Xander - you are perfectly content to be a baby -like the twins! You are excited at the possibility of going to school ... even if it is 2 years away! You want to learn new things- because Xander is learning new things. Yet you wanna stay in diapers and let mommy change your clothes every day because the babies are still in diapers and still have to get changed. You're in a tough spot... I hope I am doing right by you! Sometimes I feel bad that you're "stuck" in the middle, but other times, I wouldn't have it any other way... it just gives me one more excuse to dote on you a little extra!
I love you Asher Monroe Boni!
