Spring is here!

I LOVE the weather that we're enjoying right now! The 55-60 degree mornings with 75-80 degree afternoons... PERFECTION! There has been a gentle breeze blowing for 2 days... making the slightly warm sun just a tad bit cooler! I've worn shorts for the first time this year! My lawn is starting to look like a small forest...it doesn't seem possible that I'll have to mow soon! I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!
The last 2 days I took the kids to the park...they love going & running. The babies have never actually been to the park...not at least since they've been mobile! We went a lot last year for the big boys, but they stared at the fun from the safety and security of the stroller. But this week, they've broken free... they've been allowed to run, sit in the grass, play in the mud (that was messy), and just enjoy spring like the rest of us! Watching them play just like Xander & Asher is so fun! So crazy how fast time flies! Seems like just yesterday that Jonathan & Bella were born...and now they're running with their big brothers at the park! I love it!

While at the park, a woman yells, "Who is Xander's mom? Who's with Xander?" Now, first of all, it's a little frightening that this woman knows my kid's name... although Xander is VERY friendly, so I figured he must of just said, "Hi, I'm Xander!" But secondly, a million and one thoughts rush through my head as to why this woman is looking for "Xander's mom!" Hesitantly, I speak up & say, "I'm his mom!" She proceeded to tell me what a wonderfully sweet, gentleman I have for a son... he had picked a flower & gave it to her & she thought that was sooooo sweet! I was so proud! It became quite amusing though because all the other boys wanted to be "sweet and gentlemanly..." so all the boys started picking the flowers (weeds) and giving them to this woman! LOL... she had quite a handful! Tim was very proud of Xander... See, every month since Tim and I got married (8 years ago next week), he has bought me flowers! Xander sees that & knows that when you care about someone you buy them flowers! I love that he's picked up on that!! Now, let's hope he keeps picking up our good habits & not our bad ones!!!


Went to a couple different movies this last week: How to Train Your Dragon on IMAX 3-D... I would say this is a must-see movie!! Toothless (the main dragon) is SO cute...makes me wish I had one just like him!! LOL! The second movie was Hot Tub Time Machine. This movie was not my favorite...but it was okay! I was dumb & read a review before going that said it was "the funniest movie since The Hangover!" WRONG... so I had my expectations really high!! Now, it wasn't a terrible movie, but it was no where NEAR as good as The Hangover! Plus, they use the "F" word a whole lot.... this is my LEAST favorite curse word (not that I have a "favorite"), so it stood out to me a lot! Overall, if you like "guy" movies, ya' know- the vulgar, somewhat raunchy type... you'll probably like this movie... but I wouldn't spend $8+ on it... maybe save it for a matinee day or a dollar theater day... just my UNprofessional opinion!!
