4 grown ups & 8 kids... fun times

Busy day yesterday! It started off pretty normal. Kids woke up EARLY (darn it). Had breakfast... played on the computer... babies napped! When they woke up at 10:30, we all got dressed & ready to go. We met two of my great TMOM friends for lunch (TMOM: Tulsa Mothers of Multiples)...

Picture it: Three woman, 1 man (one of the husbands), a 4 year old, a 2 year old, 2-14 month olds, 2-3 month olds, and 2-2 month olds all sitting around a loooooonnnnnng table in a restaurant. Now, this wasn't just any fast food restaurant that is used to accommodating lots of kids... it was an actual sit down/dine restaurant! I was terrified! I haven't taken ALL of my kids to any REAL restaurant without my husband or mom with me.... to my surprise though, it worked out well! Babies were pretty much quiet the whole time... big boys ate without complaining PLUS they sat still & didn't get up to run around like crazy monkeys! It was overall a very pleasurable dining experience!

After lunch, we all went to the mall to walk around. It's always funny when I walk alone at the mall... many people stare & make comments like "Oh, twins?" ... "You have your hands full!" ... "Wow, many blessings!" SO, I am sure you can imagine the looks we got with 3 sets of twins PLUS a 2 & 4 year old! One mom who passed us- someone I don't know- had twins...her comment was "I guess I am less special with my twins when I look around and see them everywhere!" RUBBISH!!! I think we're still special...it's almost like we have our own "special" little club of mommies of multiples :) !! We spent a couple of hours at the mall... my kids were EXHAUSTED; so we left there around 3 to head for home! Both of the babies were sound asleep in their seats before we left the mall parking lot!

Got home & got dinner ready for everyone, then I got myself ready to go out with Alison.
We went to dinner, then LOTS of shopping, then to see a movie: Youth in Revolt. This movie was very...ummm...interesting! It was weird... but overall, I enjoyed it! It made me laugh, so that was nice! After the movie, at around 11pm, we went shopping at good ol' WalMart. Got home around midnight & CRASHED.....it was a long, busy, FUN day!
