My "middle child"

Here's Asher...

It's so hard to believe that he is almost 2 1/2 already! Time flies so quickly...seems like yesterday that he arrived in our world! He is so quiet & passive when compared to Xander. (I know, I know... I shouldn't compare, but what mom DOESN'T??)
He is the typical "middle child" too! I feel bad for him sometimes: The twins have their own little world... one where it's all about them... they get lots of attention because they're younger & they're twins..AND THEN... Xander gets lots of attention because he's older, in school-so lots going on with him to talk about-, and very outgoing. Then Asher is stuck in the middle... poor kid! SO- I make sure that every day (at least while Xander is in school) he gets "Alone with mommy" time... The twins still take a morning nap, so we are able to get one-on-one time for a little bit every day! I'm so glad.... I love this time with him!
Asher's not a leader, by any means; he looks to Xander to show/tell him what to do! In some respects, this is a good thing.... Asher had "stranger anxiety" issues so bad when he was younger, but Xander's outgoing personality has really brought out Asher's. It's fun to watch him because when X isn't around, A is quiet & reserved. He is & always has been my "Snuggle Bug" because he gives the best hugs & cuddles! Since I posted last, he's been feeling great! He just makes me smile! Asher is such a sweetheart!

  1. My second child is like that too, he looks to his big brother and is not shy when he is around, but is a little unsure when he is not around.
