4 hairs, Mice, Cabbage, and Somersaults

Tonight was "haircut night" in the Boni House. Asher goes first, then Xander, then finally Tim. So, I get out my clippers & cut away! After I finished cutting the boys' hair, I put them in the shower to get all the hairs off. (bear with me, I am going somewhere with this story) I got Asher out of the shower & put him to bed. Then while Xander was still playing in the shower, I cut Tim's hair. After finishing, I got Xander out of the shower. He said, "Mommy, why did it take so long to cut daddy's hair?" ME: "Well, I guess daddy just has a lot of hair!" Xander pats the top of his head and said, "Just not right there though, huh?" LOL.... ME: "No, Xander, I guess he doesn't have a lot on top of his head, but there is a lot of hair on the sides." Xander: "Well, I have 54 hairs on my head...daddy only has 4!"

We met my mother in law for lunch today after Xander got out of school. We went to Tulsa and had "Old Mac Donald's" (as Xander calls it). After lunch, we went to Chuck E Cheese. Every time the boys see a commercial for Chuck E Cheese, they say, "I wanna go to Chuck E Cheese." (in a very WHINY voice!) So when I say that they were excited to go there today, it's a BIG understatement! They have so much fun there! We were only there MAYBE 45 minutes, but it's a big deal for them! The kids and I enjoyed the day with my MIL!

Dinner was interesting... Tim always comes up with the weirdest concoctions of food. Reasors has cabbage on sale right now for 9cents/pound. So, Tim is stocking up & wants most every meal to somehow incorporate cabbage (funny, right?). So, I sauteed chicken with onions, lots of garlic, cabbage, red & green bell peppers; then let it all simmer in 1/2 cup of chicken broth. Then I served it over rice. It was actually pretty good, but I would never have been creative enough to come up with such a recipe! Tim liked the food too....the kids DID NOT!

We had a good time tonight playing with the kids. Xander sat at the computer with daddy playing a couple of new computer games while my mom and I played on the floor with the other three (Asher, Jonathan, and Bella). They did more somersaults than an entire gymnastics class! If they weren't exhausted and worn out when we were done, my mom and I sure were! But they had a blast. One of the computer games played nursery rhymes, so when the songs came on, the younger three would stop tumbling & start dancing! It was a good time! I love watching them enjoy music.... it's so fun!
