Silly story about Asher....
My mom came over for a little visit after work this afternoon. She needs a grandkid "fix" every now and then!! Asher asks: YaYa, do you want any gummies? Mom says no thank you. Asher asks: YaYa, do you want a fruit roll-up? Mom says again, no thank you... she explains that she's still full from a big lunch. He waits a few minutes... then he gets up close to her, squints one eye like he's deep in thought and says: YaYa, would you like some grapes? AHA... the moment he had been waiting for... she said YES!! He turns to me and points his little finger and said: Mommy, is it ok for YaYa to have some grapes?
Hehe... he's so hospitable! AND he was so very excited that she finally said YES to something he was offering! Love that kid!!

Xander's story of the day....
He said, "Mommy, smoking cigarettes is bad for you, do you know why?"
Me: No, tell me why!
Xander: Because when you smoke, it puts that sticky black stuff from the road...
Me (interrupting): Tar?
Xander: Yes, it puts tar- the sticky road stuff- in your lungs when you smoke!
*Here's the greatest part of the story- he said it right in front of my brother who had just gone into the gas station for a pack of cigarettes! LOL... I LOVE that they are teaching kids this young to avoid that nasty stuff! I love the visual of the "sticky road stuff" in your lungs!! Here's hoping and praying he KEEPS that visual forever...I've never smoke even ONE time in my life- hope he never does as well!

My great moment of the day... I went to a friend's Mary Kay party. She just decided to start selling and has to makeover 30 people's faces in 3o days. So, I went with a couple friends to let her paint our faces! I had a great time... If you know me, you know that I don't OWN makeup... therefore I don't USE makeup... EVER! I think the last time I actually remember having makeup on my face was my wedding day almost 10 years ago! SO, this was a big deal for me... I loved how I looked! Now, if only I could afford to buy the stuff, it would be GREAT!
