Two Things Tuesday

Tuesday's Two Talkable Topics:

1- Fried Chicken: I made oven fried chicken for dinner tonight. I've never made it before. We NEVER buy bone-in chicken, but last week, a local grocery store had legs and thighs for SUPER-cheap. So, we got a bag of each. Tim decided he wanted me to fry it... but to save our arteries a little bit, we agreed to oven-fry it! I was QUITE proud of myself! It turned out delicious! I patted the chicken dry; then I coated it completely with flour; then I dipped it in an egg/milk mixture; then I coated it completely with Italian seasoned bread crumbs. I poured about 1/4 Cup of olive oil on a cookie sheet, and I placed the breaded chicken on it. On the top oven rack, I baked it at 400 degrees for 25 minutes then turned it over for an extra 15 minutes. It was perfect!

2- Sleeping Mocha: Had to take this picture of my old lady dog! Mocha is such a grouch... and when she's comfy, you better not mess with her or she does this evil growl/snarl... kinda scary, but she's essentially harmless! This is a pic of how she was resting... annoyed at me for taking a picture of her! LOL...too cute!

You know you're a mom if...

...if kids songs are the ones stuck in your head (from Renee)
