Still in awe

I'm still in awe today. It's been 3 days since my AMAZING friend bought us a van, but every time I look at it, I still tear up a little bit!

God is SO good!
He is SO faithful!

Earlier that morning, my Facebook status was: "Sometimes I think people are too caught up in their problems to recognize their blessings!" I said that because as I read through my friends' statuses that day, it was MORE complaint and grumble than celebration! After I posted that status, I was talking to a friend of mine and said, "my status is about me too... I am so often so focused on how broke we are that I fail to see how blessed we are!" Sometimes, when finances get me down, I have to PURPOSE in my mind to find the blessings... to remind myself of how good GOD really is! In spite of financial issues, we have a house for our family; we have vehicles to get us where we need to be; our kids are clothed; we have food on our table; Tim and I both have decent paying jobs; our family is healthy and happy!

Our God will supply all of our needs....
AND ...
He knows the desires of our hearts!

I LOVE that HE provides all of our needs... plus a few extra goodies according to our desires! God used my friend last week to bless us in an amazing way! HE knew the desire of my heart - above and beyond our NEED- and He used someone else to provide for us!

He is SO good!

So, again, every time I look at that van in my driveway,
all I can think of is the GREATNESS of my "Daddy!!"

You know you're a mom if...

...if kids songs are the ones stuck in your head (from Renee)

...if you can hug and kiss a child whose breath smells worse than a dragon's after he/she has been throwing up for most of the day and night. And, not throw up yourself in the process (from Marla)
...if the school principal calls you because your child brought your bra to their kindergarten class for show and tell (from Jennifer)
...if your extended relatives know which parts of your body have hair and which ones dont because it was your childs topic of choice at a Christmas (from Jennifer)

...if your living room looks more like a play area for kids than a nice place to entertain guests (mine)
...if you have a funny story (funny now, but not at the time)...how your son passing gas during a diaper change managed to shoot a poo ball on your cheek! (from Sandi)
