Little things...deep thinking

I've been thinking a lot about "little things".... so many BIG deals in life start off as something small.

For bad issues, if you eliminate the little thing, it can never grown into a BIG thing! As soon as a "bad" thought pops into your head- push it down...ignore it... refuse to dwell on it! Get the thought out of your head and it will never develop into wrongful action!

For good issues, you want to nurture and care for it while it's little so it can grow into a GREAT BIG DEAL! As soon as a "good" thought pops into your head- ponder it, develop it, look into ways to make it happen. Then eventually it will develop into a great deed!

I used to sing a song as a child...one of the lines said, "It only takes a spark to get a fire going..." This is so true...in sooo many aspects of life.

Recently heard a marriage counselor say that people who don't fight can't last in relationships... that you have to have those moments of heat to survive. So I started thinking about this. Tim and I don't really FIGHT...although I hate the word "fight"! We DO have arguments and disagreements...I KNOW we're fine! BUT... one thing we discovered and learned early in our relationship is the whole point of this blog! If you eliminate the "little things" that are bothering you (through petty arguments & disagreements) then they don't get a chance to become the BIG things that lead to further complications in marriage. We TRY hard to talk through things as they come up rather than letting them fester. It works for us...

Anyways, sorry about the "deep thinking" moment tonight.. but that's what's on my heart to share! Maybe you needed to hear this today...maybe you didn't. But I think God has us share things at certain times because the timing is right for SOMEONE!
