I came home with a small, single-serve bottle of Simply Orange Juice (love that stuff). Xander was still asleep, but Asher was awake. About halfway through the bottle, I gave the rest to him. He asked, "What about Xander? He's still asleep." I said, "Well, it can just be a special drink for you and mommy to share while everyone else is still asleep." He shook his head and said slowly.... "Nooooo mommmmy, I want to share with Xaaannnnnderrrr!" I told him he didn't have to this time, but he insisted on putting it in the fridge until Xander got out of bed! So sweet!!
Then, yesterday, I was getting ready to leave to take Xander to his soccer practice. He asked who was going and I told him it was just him! He got a sad, pouty look on his face and whined, "I want Asher to go too!" So, of course... I gave in and took Asher with us! He was soooo happy! During practice, every time he'd come over to get a drink, he would ask Asher "Did you see that goal I scored.... Did you think I played good?"
I love how littles look up to big brothers, but it's so cool when big brother wants to include a little! I love their relationship...I hope they keep this friendship when they're older!
