Rain Pics and No water

Yesterday we were soooo excited that we got rain....in fact, we had rain all night long! The kids had fun playing in the sprinkles before the thunder/lightning started! Pic on right is of Xander and Asher "drinking" the rain!!! Twins didn't know what to think of playing outside during rain, but it was fun!! It was so nice- our temps actually dropped into the low 70's! BEAUTIFUL!

Then, today, we had no water. For over 8 hours, there was no water at all in my whole neighborhood! Evidently a hydrant was leaking- the city was going to wait until Monday to fix it, but then it started gushing water & flooding nearby homes so they decided to shut off our water so they could fix the problem. Then, the "fixing" took over 8 hours! No flushing toilets, no washing dishes, no giving babies their bath... NO WATER! But, ALAS, it came back on at about 715pm...HOORAY!! Made for a frustrating day for all the people in my neighborhood!

For dinner we had goulash! Yummy and delicious!!

After the kids went to bed, Tim and I watched the Bourne Supremecy... such a great movie! Nice and relaxing day of sleep and rest. Now, gotta go to work... BOO!!

I guess we should be grateful for all the water we have here - hard to imagine the countries that operate with no clean water on a daily basis.
