Today was my lazy day! For breakfast, Tim enjoyed a WONDERFUL 'shroom omelet! I cooked the egg part with onion, bacon and green bell peppers then filled it with mushrooms...topped with mexican shredded cheese! If you like mushrooms, this probably looks super yummy! Tim thought it was great.
I, however, do NOT like shrooms... so I passed! LOL.

I don't have too many memories of my early childhood. There is ONE memory that jumped out at me today. My cousin (2nd cousin actually) and I went to preschool or daycare of some sort together. I remember one day, her mom (I guess that would make her my 1st cousin...is that how that works?) was taking us there- we had the radio on in the car. I was "singing" along... but as a 4 year old (approximately) I obviously couldn't have known all the words, so my "singing" was more like mumbling gibberish along with the music! My cousin's mom said to me,
"Rachel, if you don't know the words, don't sing the song!"
I was crushed... I LOVED to sing! How could she break my poor little 4 year old heart like that? Well, all my life, if I start mumbling along to a song, I am reminded of this very moment.
BUT NOW... now that I have kids, I can see just how annoying that "singing" really is. Xander was dancing and singing along to a song today, and all I could do was crack up laughing because it sounded something like this:
"oh do de do moobaladoo doo oh BIG TIME!"
Hahaha... he got two of the words! LOL... I can totally see where my cousin's mom was coming from! I won't tell Xander not to sing... because, like I said it has been etched in my brain for my entire life... I was CRUSHED! But seriously, BECAUSE I love singing, hearing the mumbly, gibberish-like singing really does aggravate!
So, to my cousin's mom, I DO apologize for annoying you as a child...
lesson learned!!
LOL :)
