School supplies and rain

This morning started off hot and sweaty but GREAT! I took Xander to the church that's around the corner from my house. They were doing a back-to-school event- giving away free clothes, haircuts, shoes, backpacks and school supplies to anyone in the school district. It wasn't income based at all, just if you showed up, you got free stuff! How cool is that? I like free! Then when we were done there, we got a voucher to go to another location to get a pair of NEW shoes for him as well! So very cool!

This afternoon, we had rain! RAIN! Can you believe it? Xander noticed the sprinkles first and was so excited.... he said "Mommy, there's no thunder or lightning, can we PLLLLLLEEEASE go outside?" So instead of saying no, let's stay in where it's cool, I gathered the Bunch and the camera and ran outside to enjoy the moisture! Granted, it was only for 5 minutes before the rain stopped, but it was nice while it lasted!

Tonight, nothing but thunderstorms! It's 75degrees outside at 9:30pm (normally at this time of night it's still about 100) ... LOVE THIS WEATHER...for the moment!

Going to work now! Pictures of rain play to come tomorrow!
