We had a good day of visiting with special people! My brother came over this morning for a few minutes, and the KIDS love it when he's here! He works overnight, so we don't see him in the daylight too often...LOL!
Then, my mom came over this morning. The kids climbed all over her... I'm sure it wears her out a little bit! LOL... Anyways, she came by after she completed her 5k Race for a Drug Free Life.
I'm so proud of her! She has lost 60 pounds in the last few months, and she walks these 5k's almost every time she hears of one! She actually won an award at work for her "athletic achievement" ... she was surprised! She said, "Never in my life have I ever thought I would get something like this. lol....the new me :)" This is a picture of her today- wearing her medal for winning 2nd place in her age group! Yay mom! We're so proud of you!
Then, my mother in law came over for a visit! She works at a school, so she's off work all summer. She'll be going back to work soon, so she's sad that she won't have as much time to visit! She's excited for school, but HAD to come over and get a kid-fix today! She just adores her grandbabies!
After they all left, I put the kids down for nap/rest time! Then a new friend of mine, Kristi, called to chat. We've met as a result of my friend Scarlett being in Omaha, NE with her baby in the hospital. Kristi is the President of the mothers of multiples group out there. We've been chatting via text and facebook for a couple of months now, but today we TALKED...for real! It was great! We actually talked for about an hour and a half. We have so much in common- so many of the same ideas and goals for our MOM groups! So glad to have met her!!
