Yummy Sunday

Sundays, as most of you know, are pretty uneventful in the Boni House! I come home from work and make breakfast.

Then I sleep til 530pm.

Then I get up and make dinner. Then put kids to bed at 730. Then by 9, I am getting ready for work, 'cause I've gotta be there by 10.

SO... normally, on Sundays, my blogs are all about food. Today is no exception. Not much excitement happened here today except the food... OH...and wait, I wanted to share Xander's latest "theory" with you!

"Jesus watches us all the time. And if we're bad, he tells God. And then God tells Santa Claus... That's how Santa knows at Christmastime if we deserve presents!" What do you say to that? I didn't even respond....too cute!

Anyway, back to food!

Breakfast Omelet*3 eggs
*1/2 C finely sliced cabbage
*1/2 finely sliced onion
*1/2 diced black olives (if desired)
*2 slices of cooked, crumbled bacon
*2 Tbsp butter
*1 Tbsp milk
*soy sauce
*1/2 chicken bouillon cube (crushed)
*salt/pepper to taste
*CHEESE...we like lots!
--In a small bowl, mix eggs, milk, dash of soy sauce, and bouillon.
--In saucepan with butter, cook (until limp) cabbage, onions, and olives. Set aside
--Cook eggs in small skillet for the omelet. When it's cooked through, put veggies on top, sprinkle on cheese, fold over, and add more cheese! YUMMY!!

I was worried about the thought of cabbage in an omelet, but it was DELICIOUS!

Now, Dinner was EASY! I did a crockpot meal, so that way when I woke up, all I had to do was make the sides and it was ready to eat! I made:

Crockpot Mushroom Steak

*2lbs eye of round steak
*2 10oz cans cream of mushroom soup
*1C water
*1 pouch onion soup mix
*1 onion
*4 oz sliced fresh mushrooms
*3 cloves garlic (sliced)
*salt/pepper to taste

*Put all of the above ingredients in the crockpot. Cook at med-high heat for 6-8 hours. The longer you cook it, you may have to add a little extra water... but the longer it cooks, the more tender the meat gets! We cooked it for 8 hours and it was PERFECT! Sorry, no picture, it's not "visually appealing" because it kinda looks like chunky gravy in the picture....so I thought I'd spare you! Just imagine how yummy it SHOULD look...LOL!!

Serve over mashed potatoes! Yummy!

What did your family do this fine Sunday??
