Diaper changes

Can anyone out there relate???

EVERY diaper change time, Jonathan points out his anatomy. He says "My pee-sis... my butt!" Then when I change Bella, she says, "No pee-sis, just boys, right mama?... Bella's butt!"

Ok, I realize it's good that they know these things, but REALLY??? Come on!!! Do we have to have an anatomy lesson at each and every diaper change?

Is there a way to get them away from discussing these things? I just picture the scene from Kindergarten Cop in my head ...

You know the one... when the kid who's parent is a Gyno stands up and says "Boys have a penis, girls have a vagina!"

I could TOTALLY see one of my kids doing that one day! It cracks me up... and yet I'm embarrassed all at once!

Kids....what can you say??

  1. I'm with you. Ben & Ella don't really get it yet, but Kaleb is obsessed with it all. Sad part is...he's 4. And I don't see the obsession going away any time soon!

  2. I have been lucky so far- I didn't make a big deal out of it, so they kind of got past it. As much as boys ever do.

Avery is pretty sure his is a handle and he will fall off the face of the earth if he lets go of it when his diaper is off. :/
