The Shoe Book

Xander has always (for the most part) worn velcro shoes. Lately though, he's wanted to wear his "tie shoes"...as he calls them! I told him he's gonna need to learn how to tie his shoes though so he can put them on all by himself! He tells me yesterday morning, "I want to wear my tie shoes, but I don't know how to make them tied!" So, I told him we'd start working on it........

Well, today, Tim was out discount shopping (Goodwill and Salvation Army). At one of the stores, he found a book...a PERFECT book for our eager to learn 5 year old.

Perfect...right?

So, after the babies went to bed, we worked on it (Asher watched)...

and worked on it....

until he got frustrated and said,

"It's too hard, can I just look at the pictures?"

So, I suppose we'll put it up for a few days and try again another time.

BUT....

Mommy is sooooo excited about the book! It'll be a great asset with Xander PLUS 3 others!

I remember in kindegarten a wooden shoe that you practiced on. That book WILL come in handy. At my house we'd probably lose it right when someone needed it and find it again once they'd already learned. :/
