Movie Night with the Big Boys

Every year at Xander's school, they host a movie night. They set up a huge projector screen TV for a movie, and they have concessions of popcorn, nachos, candy, pop, etc!

Last year, Tim took Xander while I stayed home with the three littles! Tonight, I took Xander and Asher! They had a blast! They watched Cars 2... I, however, didn't see or hear much of the movie. Xander's friend, Josh, was there with his mom, Rebecca. So, while the boys went way up front to lay on a friend's blanket, Rebecca and I sat there in the back and talked pretty much the whole time!

Xander and Asher ate pretty much non-stop all evening. For dinner, they had mac & cheese + four chicken nuggets. Then at the movie night they ate: popcorn, M&Ms, cheetos, and a Peanut Butter, M&M, and chocolate syrup sandwich (Xander had 2 sandwiches; Asher had 1). They had a Sprite with all of that. THEN... after the movie, we went by my mom's house and she gave them Hershey Kisses! So, when we got home, they both complained about their tummy aches! I was NOT at all surprised by that fact!

It was fun...in spite of the fact that I couldn't hear anything over all the kids!

Driving in the van, they kids all go through what they want to be when they grow up.

Jonathan wants to be a Fire Truck Driver
Bella wants to be an Ambulance Driver
Asher wants to be a DADDY
Xander wants to be a Police Man.

SO... after they all said what they wanted to be,
Asher says, "Mommy, what do you want to be when you grow up?"
Xander said, "She's a mommy, that's what she wants to be!"

Xander is very correct... I wanna be a mommy, but REALLY when I "grow up" I REALLY want to be an OB nurse! Really bad... I can't wait until I get all the kids into school so I can pursue school so I can finally GROW UP!!

I DO think it's very cool that Asher wants to be a Daddy! I think that a good example has to be set for a child to WANT to be that thing! Ya know, like police, EMTs, etc... kids idolize them... think they are heroes, and then they want to be them! So I think it says a lot for Tim that his son wants to be like him when he grows up! God has surely blessed me with a good husband... AND HE has blessed our kids with a GREAT daddy!
