Great Friday!

Today was a pretty good day! After my "Not so YAY day" a couple days ago, I needed a fun, good day!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My friend Kelly had her baby boy last night:
Dustin Wayne was born around midnight at 5lb, 14oz and 18in long...
ain't he cute??
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And, my friend Callie, had twins today!! Welcome to our world, Carter and Caitlin!! Your parents are so happy that you're finally here!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then, the kids were super cute and cuddly today! I LOVE those kind of days! If you are on my Facebook, you probably already saw this, but it's worth re-posting... cause it's cute!
Crying Bella: "Mocha ate my sandwich" (dog ate her grilled cheese)
Me: "I'm sorry, baby, you have to make sure you don't hold it where she can get it."
Barely Older brother Jonathan to the Rescue: "Here Bella, you can have mine!"
*her tears stopped instantly!
I love how they look out for each other... so sweet!
We had Xander's award night tonight for his soccer team. 5 of the 7 kids showed up, but one was VERY not happy to be there. He had a bad attitude the whole time we were there! The other 4 kids ran around like lil chickens with their heads cut off! I'm sure they expended a great deal of energy! He was so excited to get another trophy! I love that, at this age, all of the kids get trophies... so it's pretty cool to him to have 2 now! They did a raffle tonight... I won $20 off the spring season registration fee!! WAHOOOOOO!! So glad we went! My friend, Jackie, was there with her son, Trystan...he is on Xander's team. Anyways, we were planning to go to her house tomorrow for a playdate. Trystan had the great idea to invite Xander over tonight for a sleepover!! They were so cute walking out of the building ... Trystan put his arm around Xander and said, "We're gonna have soooo much fun!" Jackie and I just laughed... have fun with the boys, Jackie!!!
Asher and I had a pretend picnic in his bedroom before he went to bed tonight. I love those few and far between alone moments. We sat on his floor and he gave me grapes, good apples (red) and sour apples ("they're sour because they're green"), and dinosaur gummies! Great picnic right???
Teacher gifts are going over well! I posted day 5 a couple days ago, so here are days 6 and 7:
Day 6:
For the 6th day of Christmas
Cold hands, face and toes
Warm up with these 6 packs
Of cocoa with marshmallows.
Day 7:
For the 7th day of Christmas
I've brought you chewing gum
It feels like Christmas break
Is never going to come.
Here's the note in Xander's backpack today:
"I am enjoying the Days of Christmas gifts! Never in my 27 years of teaching has any student ever done this for me. As an added note, I love Xander, he is such a sweet kid!
-I'm enjoying,
Mrs. Mitchell"
