Crib-is Tree!!

Tim took the kids to church this morning, and I decided to stay home and sleep this week... it was an exhausting night at work! So, when he left, I got to work and cleaned out the area behind our recliner. Now, if you've never seen that area, I'll explain. I have thrown kid shoes and jackets behind there for as long as I can remember. No joke... there were probably AT LEAST 30 pairs of shoes back there... some are so old they're like size 4/5 baby shoes! (that as like over a year ago) Yes...I am telling on myself here... LOL... ANYWAYS, they're out of the way there, but it looks so messy... BUT again, it's all out of the way, so easily forgotten. Anyways, the recliner backs up to the gate that divides the living room and kitchen... that gate has been there for like 4 years!

TODAY IT IS GONE!

This is the first time in 4 yeas that we haven't had a gate dividing the two rooms... sniff, that means the kids are getting big :( ... anyways... since I cleaned out the shoes and jackets, and moved out the gate, I had a big enough area to put the Christmas Tree! Bella can't say "christmas" right...it always comes out "Crib-is" ! Yesterday, the kids saw SO many trees... and with every one, her wonder and excitement made me smile... with every tree she'd squeal, "CRIB IS TREE!!!" It was sweet! So, my plan was to put up the tree (without ornaments... they get to help with that) so when they came home, it was there, with lights on, ready for them to see! Tim says they were really excited! Tomorrow we'll decorate (not today since I slept most of the day)... then I'll take pictures to post on here :)

For dinner I had put a garlic/peppercorn pork roast in the crockpot. On the side we had buttered bowtie pasta and green beans! It was so good... AND there are leftovers for my lunch break at work!! YAY!

This is what Xander has been up to today:

He loves Legos! Tim has a big box full of them from his childhood that he finally thought that Xander was old enough to pass them down to him! Xander has been thrilled... playing with them daily... making fun and new creations! Today, this is what I saw on the bookshelf headboard of his bed. He's got a whole little city going on ! I love his creativity- I could never put stuff together so it looked like anything, so I never liked Legos! But that's all he's asked for for Christmas is more Legos! Too funny... I am glad he likes them so much!

How was your day?
