Fun day with Abbey

My friend Amanda came to town... if you've my blog for awhile, you'll remember she moved to Iowa several months ago. (Click here to read about that) Anyways, she and her hubby and daughter came to town for the weekend. I caught a couple of pics with me and her together (going to save those for Embrace day on Thursday). But here are some fun pics of our day. We went to lunch then to the park to play for several hours! So fun! The kids had a blast. First pic is the bunch against a blue wall... cute, right? Then more fun pics of today....

Footloose and McDonald's?

Today was fun.

My mom took me and the kids to McDonalds for lunch... more to get the kids out of the house than anything else! They played in the McD's play area for about 2 1/2 hours... OMG, I was exhausted so I KNOW that they were! It was nice to sit and visit with my mom for a little bit! Then, my in-laws came to visit while we were there too! Good times... well, it was good until we were ready to leave and Bella had a 3 year old GIRL meltdown that required TWO of us to hold her down just to buckle her carseat... UGH! Anyways, it was fun!

Then after we got home from McD's, I cooked dinner for Tim & kids and had everyone at the table eating when Alison came and picked me up to go out for the evening. Thanks to giftcards, I was able to get Starbucks, popcorn, pop, and a movie (Footloose) all for only $3.60! Great deal right? Especially when you're a broke mommy of 4 kids... a night out with a good friend for less than $4 ... can't beat it!!

I had a great day...now I'm hoping for a great night! Sleep well friends!

Oh... PS... just got word that my old high school youth minister/Young Life leader had a bad accident. He had bleeding on his brain and the drs. are calling in family. Please pray!! Thanks!

Tami Thursday!

It was a great day spent at Tami's house! We always have fun over there... the kids have a BIG area to play that is essentially child-proofed. They play and play and have a blast! Tami and I talk and talk and have a blast! We have a really bad habit of eating Taco Bueno whenever I am there.... her hubby went and bought us lunch...It's delicious...every time! Then, for dessert, her hubby got us Starbucks... again... delicious every time!!

Here are a couple pictures of the kiddos today.... they sure are cute, right??

After Tami's house, I invited mom over for burgers for dinner. We had baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, fries and burgers... OMg... I am stuffed! But it was all yummy! It was nice hanging with mom for a little while too!! The kids loved their snuggle time!

Potty training woes... HELP!

it's for the birds! How is it that I don't remember potty training for Xander and Asher being as difficult as it is with Bella and Jonathan. A friend of mine said something today that got me thinking... she said,

"Are they ready? Nevermind their age or other kids their same age... are THEY ready?"

Well... maybe they just aren't. I don't know. It seems like by age 3, they'd be ready. I mean, come one, I was potty trained before my SECOND birthday. The big boys were done by three...or right around their third birthday. But with the twins, it's so frustrating. They tell me when they're stinky... but they don't wake up dry. They don't like to be in wet diapers, but when put on the toilet, they have NO interest at all in going potty. Jonathan said yesterday, "I guess there's no water in my penis, mommy!" LOL... made me laugh! But I don't know HOW to get them to go ... is there magic? I have offered candy...doesn't work. Someone recommended pouring warm water on their down-there parts... didn't work. They could care less about stickers. Yesterday, they were in panty/underwear. In 2 1/2 hours, I took them to the toilet every 15 minutes... EVERY 15 MINUTES! Yet, in the in-between time, they wet through 2 pair of undies each, PLUS Bella poo'd in one pair! UGH... maybe they're not ready??

So, many of my friends have been there/done that ... I welcome any suggestions!

Early to rise...Early to bed!

This morning, I was RUDELY awakened by my 3 year old standing at the gate at his bedroom door calling me REALLY early! Well, it was for good reason, so I really SHOULD forgive him, but really??? Why so early? Well... he was soaked... his diaper was full and his pjs were sopping. SO... I understand why he was awake and calling me, but it was just so early :(

So, today, he and Bella were super cranky... ALL DAY LONG! It was exhausting for Tim and I ... all day long! They actually took naps today- I was so proud! It was the first day since they moved into toddler beds that they napped- but obviously they were tired, they were up before the sun!!

I had to wake them up after 2 1/2 hours because I didn't want them to be up all night! From naptime until bedtime, Bella kept saying "I'm tired... I want go bed!" And she and Jonathan laid on the living room floor resting. Then to bed at their normal time (7:45-ish) and I didn't hear from them after they went to bed. They MUST have been exhausted! As is mommy!! LOL!

I took 2 short naps today... and am already in bed now... going to sleep! G'night friends!

Not broken, Daddy!

Xander (6) tells Tim this morning,

"Look daddy, I still have this toy from Christmas and it's not broken!"

I say, "That's good, since it's only a day old!"

LOL

Tim says, "Good, maybe you can keep it til you're 42 and then you can give it to your son like sometimes I give you toys..."

Xander runs to his room with said toy.

Xander to Asher, "Asher, when I am 40 years old you can have this toy... but only until I am 42 because daddy said I can give it to my little boy when I'm 42!"

Love it!!

Merry Christmas Eve

Today was a fun day!

I went shopping yesterday and got everything I needed for this weekend. I VOWED to not step foot in a retail establishment today...knowing it would be insanely crowded with last-minute shoppers!

Then, this afternoon, my brother sends me a text asking what "we" are getting for mom for Christmas. I told him what I had already bought for her birthday (2 days ago) and what I bought for her for Christmas. I reminded him that Christmas is TOMORROW... and asked what he was planning to do! Side note: his car is broke down, so he can't take himself shopping! Anyways, his "plan" was to get me to take him to WalMart...TODAY... on Christmas Eve...the day that I vowed to not step foot in there! UGH.... but what's a girl to do? I told him that the only way I could take him, since Tim was at work, is if mom was willing to keep the kids for me... because I was NOT taking them into WalMart. So, he told her I needed to do some last minute shopping and asked her to come watch kids... she did... so I took him! By the way, he's a dork! SO... I did a little shopping and he got what he wanted for mom... AND WalMart was not crowded! I was shocked!

Tonight, my mom and brother came over and we ate tons of food... UGH, I'm so stuffed! We had fried shrimp, onion rings, and fried zucchini... LOTS of fried!! Then we also had a couple of dips...

#1: Hot Jezebel Dip
1 12 oz jar apricot preserves
4 Tbsp horseradish
4 drops hot sauce
1 Tbsp black pepper
*Mix all together and pour over 8oz block of cream cheese
*Serve with tortilla chips or crackers of your choice

#2: Dried beef dip
1 8oz cream cheese
1 8oz sour cream
2-3 chopped green onions
1 2oz jar dried beef (chopped)
*Mix all together
*Serve with tortilla chips or crackers of your choice

Both dips are delicious...couldn't get enough of either one! We also did cheddar balls- they kinda taste like Cheddar Bay biscuits from Red Lobster. I found the recipe on Pinterest... Click HERE for the recipe! OR, if you don't want to click there, here's what you do...super easy:

Cheese Balls
1 Cup Rice Krispies
1 melted stick butter
1 Cup flour
1 Cup Cheddar Cheese
(I added a little extra cheese 'cause I like cheese)
*Mix together. Roll into balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350degrees for 20 minutes. They were really yummy!!!

After the twins went to bed, Xander and Asher helped me make chocolate chip cookies for Santa. They both got phone calls from Santa (thanks to www.sendacallfromsanta.com) telling them that our house is his first stop in Oklahoma so they better get to bed early and NO PEEKING! They were ecstatic! Xander left a note for Santa.... It says, "I love Santa. Do you love me. Xanber"
(YES, I realize his name isn't XanBer, but sometimes his D's are B's... and I didn't correct him because this was his third time writing it because twins kept erasing it! Didn't want to make him write it AGAIN!!)

After the kids were all in bed, I got busy wrapping presents... because yes, I am THAT mom who waits until the last minute to wrap gifts! So, now I am finally finished wrapping Santa gifts in the special Santa wrapping paper, and all the rest in miscellaneous papers. I am exhausted- it's been a LONG day!

The only thing missing today was my mother and father in law. They went to Ohio to visit Tim's grandmother for Christmas. I am sure they're having fun, but the great day we had today would've been even more great if they had been here too! Love ya' In-Law Boni's!!!

Jonathan and Bella are THREE!!!

3 years ago at 4:52 and 4:55 pm, Jonathan Lucas and Isabella Marie were delivered via c-section when I was 36 weeks/5days pregnant! For twins, that's really good :) ...

Jonathan was 6lb, 2oz and 18 inches long ...now, three years later, he is 35 pounds and 39 inches tall! He is a big boy... happy almost all of the time! He's got a big heart...sweet as can be! He is out-going and sociable; protective of his little sister; and VERY independent! He wants to do everything himself! He LOVES watching Caillou and Diego- and he loves to sing and dance along with all of their songs! I love his energy and his smile- the picture on the left is a little goofy, but it is SO Jonathan! Can't wait to see what his future holds!

Bella was 6lb, 13 oz and 18 3/4 inches long... now, three years later, she is 31 pounds and 37 1/2 inches tall! She is a big girl, but she's very petite and "girlie" when compared to Jonathan. She is a TOTAL girl too... she can be sweet and cute, but at the drop of a hat, she can get a prissy little attitude. She'll put her hands on her hips and give you a piece of her mind if she sees fit to do so! She is my only kid with long, blond, and curly hair- not sure where she got that from, but I LOVE IT! She loves to cuddle...but only if SHE initiates it! If I want to, she won't hear of it! I love her spunky spirit... definitely the best little girl that God could've given to me!! As with her brother, I can't wait to see what her future holds!

On Pinterest, I found a list of 20 questions to ask you kids every year on their birthday, starting with age 3. Here are the questions and the twins' answers:

1. Favorite Color: J- Yellow; B- Pink
2. Favorite Toy: J- Babydolls (?); B-Babydolls
3. Favorite Fruit: J-Apples; B- Apples
4. Favorite TV Show: J-Diego; B- Caillou
5. Favorite Lunch: J & B- Mac & Cheese
6. Favorite Clothes: J- short sleeve shirts; B- Long sleeve
7. Favorite Game: J- Bubbles; B- Barney
8. Favorite Snack: J-Goldfish; B- Cereal
9. Favorite animal: J & B- Elephant
10. Favorite Song: J- Yo Gabba Gabba; B- Happy Birthday
11. Favorite Book: J-Puppy book; B- Tat (about a bear)
12. Best friend: J-Asher; B- Xander
13. Favorite Cereal: J & B- Kix
14. Favorite thing to do outside: J-slide; B- go in backyard
15. Favorite drink: J and B- Juice
16. Favorite holiday: J & B- Halloween
17. Favorite thing to have in bed: J & B- Doggie lovey (thanks Martha)
18. Favorite breakfast: J- cheesy eggs; B- Cereal
19. Favorite Dinner: J- Mac & Cheese; B- hot dogs
20. What do you want to be when you grow up?
J- fire truck driver
B- excavator driver (LOL)

These are fun questions... will definitely try to remember to do them every year!

Happy birthday to my #3 and #4 kiddos! I love you more and more every day! And I love being a twin mommy...it's the coolest thing ever
(well, it's tied with being a singleton mom...can't leave big boys out, right?)

Embrace the Camera- 12/22/11

So, yesterday I mentioned that Xander had a friend over and they were up INSANELY late last night...right? Well, this morning, they were up INSANELY early! It's been a long couple of days! LOL :-)

Today is my mom's birthday...I'm sure she's 39 again this year (although, in a few years, she'll have to go up to 49 b/c I'll end up passing her...LOL) She is pretty much the best mom ever! Growing up, dad wasn't in the picture... so my mom got to play both roles! I am fairly certain that she did quite a great job bringing me up... I'm pretty well trained! Thanks mom for all you do to make our family great- I don't know what I'd do without you here! Doesn't she look great in this picture? I am so proud of her- she's been doing Weight Watchers and has lost about 80 pounds this year!! Way to go, mom!!! She spent the day with The Bunch today...it was great getting to see her all day long :)

Love you mom, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

While my mom was here, we moved out the cribs for the twins and moved in their toddler beds! They were SO VERY EXCITED! Jonathan's bed is a Lightning McQueen bed; Bella's was easiest- we just took off on side rail and voila! it was a toddler bed :) They were both sound asleep by 8pm, so that's a good sign right? Granted, they were sound asleep in the WRONG beds, but oh well, at least they were IN a bed and ASLEEP!! I was really worried about this switch... so far so good! The pic on the left was them trying out Jonathan's bed... on the right is the "best" view I could get of their room... beds on either side of the armoire! You can tell here already, that they like the opposite bed from their own! Oh well, I guess girls can like Lightning McQueen too, right?

Today is Thursday; That's right...it's Embrace the Camera day. Click HERE to link up with Emily's blog!! Who are you embracing today? I'm embracing my mom!!
Happy birthday, MOM!!

What happened to Wednesday?

Seems like I just woke up today and the day was gone. I didn't get out of bed til 8am (thanks kids) and the rest of the day I was nodding off to sleep several times on the couch. I managed to do some laundry, wash dishes, get the trash out, clean up the laundry room a little, vacuum and sweep... but that was all done in short bursts of energy in between cat naps! I would find myself drifting off to sleep, so I would jump up and go clean something! LOL... nothing wrong with that, right? Next thing I know, it's 4pm and I got 3 texts and a phone call all at the same time waking me up!

Around 445, my friend Rebecca arrived to drop off her son, Josh! Josh is 7 years old and he and Xander have been best buddies since pre-k!! They adore each other! Anyways, Xander asked before Christmas break even started if he could have Josh over one night! I was a little nervous- he's been to other people's homes before, but we've never had anyone here! It is now 11:56pm and they're still laying in the bed talking! LOL... I wanna go to bed, but don't wanna until they are sleeping! How do you MAKE a 6 & 7 year old go to sleep???

They had fun tonight.... we rented Smurfs from RedBox. We ate swirl pasta for dinner (always a hit with kids), then for dessert (movie snack) we had popcorn mixed with chocolate chips and root beer! I thought I had put too much chocolate in the bowl, but they licked it clean (ewwww)! After the movie, they played Elefun! At that point it was 1030 pm and they were super loud... so I announced BED TIME!!! (haha, yeah right!)

All in all, it was a good day... extremely productive in the midst of lots of naps! Hehe... that's the best kind of productivity, right??

Two Things Tuesday

Today, my Two Talk-able Topics are Jonathan and Bella!

Thanks to birthday money from Tim's grandma, we were able to have a nice little birthday party for the twins tonight! (Friday is their birthday) We did a Mickey/Minnie Mouse themed party!
I made shirts for them: The front has the #3 and the back has J and B for their names!

For the birthday cake, I did Mickey/Minnie cupcakes (Tami made the bows):
(both the shirts and the cupcakes are ideas found on Pinterest; have I mentioned how much I LOVE PINTEREST??)

We had their party at CiCis Pizza and the employees brought brownies and candles to the table, with balloons too, to sing "Happy Birthday" to both kiddos! They weren't too sure of it all, but I think they secretly enjoyed the attention!

They had a blast opening their presents from everyone... they got coloring books, crayons, a Cars 2 car, a toy motorcycle, a baby doll with binky and bottle, clothes, shoes, pony with hair brush and hair dryer, sippy cups, bracelets, purse, dress-up dress, musical instrument set, toy cd player, and a few other toys! They made out like bandits! Big boys wanted to help open gifts too... that was a LOT of extra hands trying to tear into the wrapping paper!

They had a good time! When it was all over, Bella wanted more pasta and more presents! LOL... That's my girl!!

I hate colds!!

I do, I hate colds! Except for Tim, I am pretty sure we all have a little bit of a cold. Twins are snotty, my nose is stuffy, Xander's eyes are teary, and Asher is a little phlegm-y! Yes, I realize that may be TOO much info for this blog, but it's all how our day went ... sniffing, blowing noses, wiping away tears- NOT from crying- UGH... hate all the snot and phlegm!

I worked on Christmas cards today... yes, I do realize it's a little late, but better late than never, right? I didn't do a lot of cards this year...just ran out of time, so if you don't get one, I am VERY sorry!

Well, yep, that's my day in a nut-shell! As you're most likely aware, I'm not too chatty on Mondays... 'cause I'm so sleepy, but having a cold makes me THAT MUCH MORE sleepy! Hope your day was full of healthy wakefulness :)

I leave you with a couple fun picture of the kids....

and a picture of the 4 in my bed being silly... (Bella is pretending to sleep...LOL)

Sleep and Shrimp

Slept all day...it was WONDERFUL!

After I woke up, I made the kids mac & cheese (as per their request) and I made Tim and I fried shrimp and onion rings. I know, I know, fatty and greasy food... but oh.my.gosh... it was so good!

Tim was quite impressed with me too; I have never made fried shrimp before! Most of my life, I haven't even LIKED fried shrimp...so tonight was a big stepping stone for me! And it was yummy!

Kids are all in bed now...just in time to get ready for work! Hope you had a great Sunday!

Birthday party fun (not our's)

We went to a birthday party for my friend McKenna's daughters: GiGi and Xandi. They turned 2 years old this week, and their party was at CherryBerry. If you don't know what Cherry Berry is, you are missing out! It is a self-serve frozen yogurt bar... with every topping imaginable and then some! I LOVE it! Here are 2 great pictures from the party... Xander is a real ladies man- he put the girls next to him on the bench "just because" (he said!)

Assembly and Dip

My wonderfully gracious brother came over this morning to stay with the littles so I could go to Xander's Christmas assembly at school. The first grade was leading the assembly with a few Christmas songs. PLUS, Xander's two best friends, Josh and Austin, received Star Citizen awards today! It was a great morning!

His class party was this afternoon. He wanted me to go, but I couldn't get anyone to keep the littles in the afternoon.... my wonderfully gracious brother was sound asleep (he works nights)! So... boo-hoo!

Made Chi-Mali Dip for dinner...it's a snack-y food, but I love it for a meal.

ChiMali Dip
1 can beef tamales (drained, unwrapped, and smooshed)
1 can chili (with or without beans as desired)
8 oz Velveeta cheese (cubed)
1/2 C Salsa
1 C cheddar cheese
Fritos Scoops

*I mix all of the above (except cheddar) in a small crockpot to simmer-cook for a few hours. About 30 minutes before serving, put the cheddar on top. Serve with Fritos for scooping!

I LOVE this recipe! It's a great appetizer or meal... Super yummy!

Rainy day

Today was a day of gloomy outdoors! I'm sure we needed rain, but it's very inconvenient when having to get out and about with the bunch!

Didn't do much or accomplish much today... it was a pretty lazy day.

BUT tonight, I got to go see my friend, Alison! We haven't seen each other in a couple months, so it was nice to sit and talk for awhile. Catching up with friends is always fun!!

We ended the night with her buying me Starbucks (YAY)... gotta love that!

Going to bed now... so sleepy!

Well Child Checks and Reindeer Noses

Today has been such a full and tiring day! We started earlier than we EVER do... I was up at 6:45 getting the kids moving this morning. I dropped X off at his friend's house to ride to school. (Bella looks like she could be saying, "I don't do mornings!" LOL) Then I took the 3 littles to Tami's house to babysit her girls because her mom was having surgery. Her kids and mine were angels :) ... YAY!

We stayed there from 8:15 this morning until about 1:30; then we left and went to Asher's dr appointment. Today was his scheduled 4 year old well child check! His hearing and vision are both perfect; his height and weight are in the 60th percentile and 77th percentile (respectively). He is 40 pounds and 3 1/2 feet tall! He's growing up so fast! Dr says he seems perfectly healthy :) YAY!

After the doctor's office, we had to go pick up X from his friend's house. SO thankful for Rebecca and Towana for helping me today with X! By the time we finally arrived home from our long day out, it was 415 this afternoon! Whew! After Tim got home, he went out to fix the fuse on the van... since it blew I can't tell how fast I am going because the speedometer quit working :( here's hoping it fixes the problem!! While he worked on the car, I got dinner ready- frozen cheese ravioli with spaghetti sauce and meat! It was pretty good!

With all of the running around today, twins didn't get their daily nap, so it was a 7pm bed time! After they were in bed, X and A helped me with a dessert snack: reindeer noses! The twins helped unwrap the Hersheys Kisses, then they went to bed and let big boys finish putting them together!

Here's final result! Very easy and yummy to make :) Put Hershey Kisses on pretzels. Cook in oven at 250 for about 5 minutes- just until the chocolate is soft enough to press in an M&M... Kids loved helping and mommy loved snacking:))))

Crib-Is Tree Part 2

Today we finished decorating the tree... and let me tell you, I am ALREADY tired of saying "just look, don't touch!" UGH... these almost 3 year old kids might make me lose my mind before Christmas gets here!

But, here's the tree:

And here's the kiddos in front of the tree:
We thought tonight would be the PERFECT occasion for the big boys to do their Santa letters. The last two years, we've done The Portable North Pole ... it's this really cool website where you plug in your kid's information and you get an email from Santa. It's a video recording where Santa will say, "Hi, Xander, I know you've been good at cleaning your room this year. I received your letter, I see you want a new truck this year?" (all those details you plug in) ... Xander was in awe when we did it 2 years ago- he was 4 and it was the coolest thing ever to get a personalized email from Santa. Then last year when Asher was 3, Xander was 5, we did it for both of them and they were SO excited... we had to watch the video over and over again! Oh yeah, important detail here, IT'S FREE!

SO, here are Xander and Asher's letters to Santa. Xander wrote his wish list; Asher drew his, but since he's little, he can't quite draw a spaceship, a car, and Legos. Not that my drawing is all that much better, but at least "Santa" will know what he wants! In case you can't read it, Asher wants Legos, a spaceship and a car or truck. Xander wants Star Wars Legos, Ninjago Legos, a spaceship, a tank, and Hot Wheels.

Crib-is Tree!!

Tim took the kids to church this morning, and I decided to stay home and sleep this week... it was an exhausting night at work! So, when he left, I got to work and cleaned out the area behind our recliner. Now, if you've never seen that area, I'll explain. I have thrown kid shoes and jackets behind there for as long as I can remember. No joke... there were probably AT LEAST 30 pairs of shoes back there... some are so old they're like size 4/5 baby shoes! (that as like over a year ago) Yes...I am telling on myself here... LOL... ANYWAYS, they're out of the way there, but it looks so messy... BUT again, it's all out of the way, so easily forgotten. Anyways, the recliner backs up to the gate that divides the living room and kitchen... that gate has been there for like 4 years!

TODAY IT IS GONE!

This is the first time in 4 yeas that we haven't had a gate dividing the two rooms... sniff, that means the kids are getting big :( ... anyways... since I cleaned out the shoes and jackets, and moved out the gate, I had a big enough area to put the Christmas Tree! Bella can't say "christmas" right...it always comes out "Crib-is" ! Yesterday, the kids saw SO many trees... and with every one, her wonder and excitement made me smile... with every tree she'd squeal, "CRIB IS TREE!!!" It was sweet! So, my plan was to put up the tree (without ornaments... they get to help with that) so when they came home, it was there, with lights on, ready for them to see! Tim says they were really excited! Tomorrow we'll decorate (not today since I slept most of the day)... then I'll take pictures to post on here :)

For dinner I had put a garlic/peppercorn pork roast in the crockpot. On the side we had buttered bowtie pasta and green beans! It was so good... AND there are leftovers for my lunch break at work!! YAY!

This is what Xander has been up to today:

He loves Legos! Tim has a big box full of them from his childhood that he finally thought that Xander was old enough to pass them down to him! Xander has been thrilled... playing with them daily... making fun and new creations! Today, this is what I saw on the bookshelf headboard of his bed. He's got a whole little city going on ! I love his creativity- I could never put stuff together so it looked like anything, so I never liked Legos! But that's all he's asked for for Christmas is more Legos! Too funny... I am glad he likes them so much!

How was your day?

Our day in pictures... The plan was to take pics for 10 consecutive hours, but I missed a couple here and there, so it was from beginning to end of the day! If you missed last month's 10 on 10, the fun of today's post is taking ten pictures for ten hours on the tenth of the month. My blogger buddy, Raeann, gave me this idea and I love it :) ... So I scheduled a reminder in my phone for the tenth of every month... Otherwise I would forget!

So...

730: Asher waking up and showing me that, in spite of my telling him to put his legos away before bed, he kept a couple out to sleep with :)

830: Twins in the van on the way to a playdate. Yes, Asher was there, but he is so little on the backseat that you can't see him!

930: Twins playing with my friend's boxer, Brutus! At first they were terrified, but they warmed up to him pretty quick!

1230: Doesn't need much explanation... The Bunch hanging out by a pretty "Chrib-is tree" (as Bella calls it)

130: My blond beauties sitting sweetly together! <3 it

330: We ran into my in-laws at the grocery store... the kids were so excited!

430: They were thrilled when I ordered smaller drinks, but McD's gave us large ones... Made their day :)

530: Train time!!!!

630: This picture could've worked for most of today, because Asher was pretty cranky... But this hour was especially rough... Xander dropped (on purpose) a monster truck on his head from off the top bunk. Then a few minutes later he fell backwards off the couch onto his back and cried so hard he refused to breath for a few seconds... I hate that he does that :(

730: Yep, that's right, it is a picture of darkness... So exciting after the long, busy, tiring day we had... They're all in bed and almost asleep... Yes, this early in the evening :)

There you have it... A glimpse into a day in the life of The Boni Bunch :) hope you enjoyed!!

Great Friday!

Today was a pretty good day! After my "Not so YAY day" a couple days ago, I needed a fun, good day!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My friend Kelly had her baby boy last night:
Dustin Wayne was born around midnight at 5lb, 14oz and 18in long...
ain't he cute??
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And, my friend Callie, had twins today!! Welcome to our world, Carter and Caitlin!! Your parents are so happy that you're finally here!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then, the kids were super cute and cuddly today! I LOVE those kind of days! If you are on my Facebook, you probably already saw this, but it's worth re-posting... cause it's cute!
Crying Bella: "Mocha ate my sandwich" (dog ate her grilled cheese)
Me: "I'm sorry, baby, you have to make sure you don't hold it where she can get it."
Barely Older brother Jonathan to the Rescue: "Here Bella, you can have mine!"
*her tears stopped instantly!
I love how they look out for each other... so sweet!
We had Xander's award night tonight for his soccer team. 5 of the 7 kids showed up, but one was VERY not happy to be there. He had a bad attitude the whole time we were there! The other 4 kids ran around like lil chickens with their heads cut off! I'm sure they expended a great deal of energy! He was so excited to get another trophy! I love that, at this age, all of the kids get trophies... so it's pretty cool to him to have 2 now! They did a raffle tonight... I won $20 off the spring season registration fee!! WAHOOOOOO!! So glad we went! My friend, Jackie, was there with her son, Trystan...he is on Xander's team. Anyways, we were planning to go to her house tomorrow for a playdate. Trystan had the great idea to invite Xander over tonight for a sleepover!! They were so cute walking out of the building ... Trystan put his arm around Xander and said, "We're gonna have soooo much fun!" Jackie and I just laughed... have fun with the boys, Jackie!!!
Asher and I had a pretend picnic in his bedroom before he went to bed tonight. I love those few and far between alone moments. We sat on his floor and he gave me grapes, good apples (red) and sour apples ("they're sour because they're green"), and dinosaur gummies! Great picnic right???
Teacher gifts are going over well! I posted day 5 a couple days ago, so here are days 6 and 7:
Day 6:
For the 6th day of Christmas
Cold hands, face and toes
Warm up with these 6 packs
Of cocoa with marshmallows.
Day 7:
For the 7th day of Christmas
I've brought you chewing gum
It feels like Christmas break
Is never going to come.
Here's the note in Xander's backpack today:
"I am enjoying the Days of Christmas gifts! Never in my 27 years of teaching has any student ever done this for me. As an added note, I love Xander, he is such a sweet kid!
-I'm enjoying,
Mrs. Mitchell"
