30 Days about Me- Day 9

List 10 people who have influenced you and describe how.

1. My mom: She was both my mom and my dad growing up! She taught me everything I know- how to love, a great work ethic, how to be a friend, how to cook, how to drive... the list goes on and on! I couldn't ask for a better mom! Love you, Mommy!

2. My hubby: Where to begin?? He came into my life at a time that I said, "NO boyfriends... only focus on school!" THEN.... I met him. 4 days later was our first date, we've been together since! He showed me what TRUE love is all about. I love you more and more every day, Tim!

3. My childhood bestie: For showing me the meaning of friendship! She's stuck by me for the last 33 years (wow, that's a long time)! I love you, Shannon

4. My father in law: For showing me what a great DAD is all about!! I love you, Nick!

5. My first boss: For teaching me to leave life at the front door when I come into work and to leave work at the front door when I go out into life! Thank you so much, Kathy! (sorry, no picture)

6. My brother: For teaching me at a young age (he's 12 1/2 years younger) how to be a mommy... AND that I didn't want to be a mommy for a LOOONGG time! I love you, Nathan!

7. My "Sister of Support": In my mothers of multiples group, when I first joined, I was given a "SOS" who was amazing. Without her, I don't know if I would've felt welcome in this big group of ladies. She willingly reached out to me, invited me along with her and her friends to get to know me; she helped me through this crazy journey of twin-mommyhood! Eternal Thanks, Martha!

8. My Grandma: She was the most loving, caring person that I EVER knew! She was my second mom growing up! She always had to have a recliner... and I always had to sit with her in it! Of course, kids grow and get bigger. SO...as I grew, she bought bigger recliners so we could still sit together! Even when I was in the sixth grade, I sat with her in a Big Man's Recliner enjoying every moment I could with her! She was a great lady and I pray that when I'm a granny, I'll be as great as she was! Love you and miss you, Granny!

9. My 6th grade math teacher: I can't remember the names of most of the teachers I had in my lifetime, but I can and always will remember my 6th grade math teacher. She was so caring- she made me LOVE going to school! She made me LOVE math! She made me WANT to push myself to get good grades. Even after I left that school (I moved away after 6th grade), she and I kept in touch. All the way through high school, if I went back to town to visit, she'd meet me for lunch or a movie! She will always be in my heart as the best teacher ever!! Thank you for making a difference in my life, Mrs. Colmenares!! (no picture for her either, darn it!)

10. My childhood pastor: He taught me of the love of God. He taught me about heaven and eternal life. When I grew up, he married Tim and me! I will forever look up to him as an amazing man of God! I love you, Brother Bill, and will never forget the impact you had on my life!
