30 Days about Me: Day 8

 What are 5 passions that you have??

1- My family! 

For as far back in life as I can remember, I've wanted to be a wife and a mommy! I became a wife just over 10 years ago to a wonderful husband... Loving him more and more all the time! I first became a mommy 7 years ago, and since then have had 3 more kiddos! I love my husband and 4 kids SO VERY MUCH!!

2- Missionary work!

In high school, I went to an African Children's Choir concert. Ever since, my heart has been tied to African kiddos! At that moment, I told myself that ONE DAY, I will go to Africa. ONE day, I will be able to share God with the kids there. ONE day, I'll be able to just sit with them, and hug them, and show those little ones a love that they've never experienced! I haven't yet been to Africa, but I have been on 2 missions trips- both times, the littles pulled my heart strings SO much! Can't wait to ONE day go to Africa  :)

3- Music!

I have ALWAYS loved music. I am not real good about remembering who sang what... I'm not particularly good at pinpointing what key what song is in. BUT... I LOVE TO SING! In middle school and high school, I was always in the choir...I won awards, medals, and certificates for solos, for ensembles, and for a State Choir Concert in Florida. Anytime a song comes on the radio-even when I'm out shopping- I have to sing along! I think I probably drive my co-workers bonkers since they always have a radio on... so I'm ALWAYS singing!!

4- Crocheting!

A friend of mine calls it "hooking"... I always chuckle when she tells people I'm her favorite "hooker!" LOL!! My friend's grandma, Mrs. Dorothy, taught me how to crochet when I was 16 years old. And I have made SO many blankets and crafts since then! Every now and then I make a blanket and it turns out crooked (Sorry, Jackie), and that drives me NUTS! But I do enjoy doing it... I love seeing the outcome when it's finished... I love how relaxed I am while doing it! 

 5- My TMOMs! (Tulsa Mothers of Multiples)

When I first found out I was prego with twins, I thought, "HOLY COW.... what are you thinking, God??!!!" But within a couple of months, I discovered my mothers of multiples group. I absolutely love the group of ladies that I meet with a couple of times a month! They are the ones who REALLY get what it's like to have twins... no, having kids close in age isn't the same! They get it! Less than a year after joining the group, I took on a leadership role and have been serving this group for 3 years now! I tell EVERY woman I meet who has twins that they need to check us out! It has meant the world to me- the friendships that I've developed are irreplaceable! Support groups aren't for everyone, but I LOVE it! The first year, going to the meetings was all about "support," but at this point, it's about the relationship! I love my mommy group!!
