30 Days about Me: Day 16

We're more than halfway through my 30 Things... This is fun!

What are your 5 greatest accomplishments?

1. 10 years of marriage. I would say getting married is an accomplishment, but really, in today's society, getting married is commonplace. I see it as a GREAT accomplishment that we've been HAPPILY married for ten years now! We still go out on dates at least once a month. We still eat dinner together and watch movies together and fall asleep in each other's arms. I LOVE this man, TIM, more and more every single day and can't imagine life without him! Making our life together is my #1 accomplishment... and I love the fact that we'll be continuing our lives together for many more decades!

2. 4 kids. I LOVE being a mommy! I love my kids so much... although sometimes they drive me batty! Haha! (what kids don't drive mommy crazy??) These munchkins have shown me what it's like to love someone so unconditionally... they have made me see the God kind of Agape Love- defined as "divine, unconditional, self-sacrificing, active, volitional, and thoughtful love." These kids are my life... my four kiddos are my 2nd greatest accomplishment!

3. My job. I started working for Walmart in April of 1994. I did quit for a total of about 18 months, but otherwise I have worked there since '94.... a total of over 16 years with the same company! Even when I ventured away to a new world of credit card collections, I kept WalMart as a part time job. I sincerely love my job, and the company isn't all that bad. Obviously, I wish I was independently wealthy and didn't HAVE to work, but while I DO have to, WalMart is my "home away from home!"

4. College. I have graduated from two different colleges. First, I graduated from a Ju-Co in Colorado with my Associates in Psychology. Then, I attended a Bible College and graduated with  a certificate from there as well. I love learning new things and will (after the kids are all in school) go back to school to get my Bachelor's Degree. The degrees I have aren't worth much in the world today, BUT, I consider two college graduations quite the accomplishment!

5. TMOMs. Two and a half years ago, I was asked to serve my mothers of multiples group as the President. Never before had I held such a great position... I was honored. Then, a year later, I was voted to serve a second term. I guess the ladies thought I had done a good job! Serving in this capacity enabled me to "come out of my shell" more... gave me more of a "take charge" attitude! I love this group and being able to serve as President is DEFINITELY on my list of greatest accomplishments!
