Writing Letters

In case you've not yet heard, my 2013 New Year's Resolution is to write letters!

I have set out to write at least one letter every week to someone different... so 52 different people will receive real snail mail... not a bill, but an actual letter!

When I check my mailbox, I don't know why I get disappointed by not getting real mail. It's the world we live in nowadays. People just don't hand-write letters anymore! In fact, I went to the store to buy some stationary... you know, like nice paper with matching envelopes... WRONG! Do you know how nearly impossible it is to find? I can find all kinds of note cards with matching envelopes... note cards are fine, but I don't want to just send a card. I'd like actual paper! I found 1 package that I liked at Walgreens, but it was like $10 for not much paper! Like I said, this world we live in doesn't write letters, so the demand isn't there... it makes me sad!

SO, I hope that I am bringing a smile to the faces of the recipients of my mail. I know I would be ecstatic to receive REAL mail!! So far, I have sent letters to Brayden, Rachel, Shawna, and Brandi and today I'm sending letter #5, but can't say here who it's going to...it would ruin the fun of getting mail if she's expecting it!!

This is a picture of the printer paper I found that will be my stationary... it's not what I wanted because there isn't matching envelopes, but it IS pretty :)

...if the school principal calls you because your child brought your bra to their kindergarten class for show and tell (from Jennifer)
...if your extended relatives know which parts of your body have hair and which ones dont because it was your childs topic of choice at a Christmas (from Jennifer)

...if your living room looks more like a play area for kids than a nice place to entertain guests (mine)
...if you have a funny story (funny now, but not at the time)...how your son passing gas during a diaper change managed to shoot a poo ball on your cheek! (from Sandi)
