30 Days about Me: Day 25- Dinner in the past?

If you could have dinner with anyone in history, who would it be and what would you eat?

 Perhaps I am reading TOO into this question. Because I sit here and ask, "is the person in history coming to present day with me or am I going back in time to where they are?" 

So, I'll write from both perspectives. 

I would eat with Ruth. If you're not familiar- Ruth is a woman in the Old Testament- her story is great! I could read it over and over! She was married to Naomi's son. He died, so Naomi "released" her to go back to her own family to find a new husband. Ruth remained faithful to her husband's family and said to Naomi- wherever you go, I will go- your people will be my people! So, together they found more family so that Ruth could re-marry within the same family. Her love for her in-laws was so great! She was a humble, serving woman with a BIG heart! I just love reading the short book of Ruth!

If I traveled back in time to her day, we'd have the following dinner:
Bread made from the grains harvested that day, some cheese made from the curdled goat's milk and some pomegranates. Nope, it doesn't sound all that appealing for nowadays, but these were the foods that were staple for the times! I would enjoy every bite of food while listening to Ruth tell me her story first hand!!

BUT

If Ruth came to the 21st Century to hang out with me for a day, I would cook some wonderful sauce & meatballs (without pork, of course, since that was forbidden in her diet), and with the sauce, I would throw together a delicious lasagna! It would be unlike anything she had ever had... I would be nervous that she'd not like it, but nonetheless, I would LOVE the company... I would hang on her every word. There are so many questions I would ask... it would be awesome to hang out with Ruth for a day!!
