Happy Birthday to ME!!

A week ago today, I celebrated my 36th birthday!! Thirty-six years ago, my mom gave birth to her one and only amazing daughter!!! Yep, that's me!

My day began in Xander's second grade class. It was fun as always! I really do enjoy working with The Mrs. Pastor!! The Mrs. Pastor is Xander's teacher... and she is the wife to a pastor of one of our local churches. She has such a sweet spirit that I would probably help her out even if Xander WASN'T in her class! In fact, if I didn't have so much to do in my house, I would probably go help out every day! She makes helping fun.... she is awesome! SO... my birthday started out great!

Then, Tim got off work a little early, and his mom came over to babysit!!!

HOORAY!!

We went out for dinner at Red Lobster! NORMALLY for my birthday, we go to some Italian restaurant. It's tradition for me... for as far back in my life as I can remember, I have eaten Italian for my birthday... BUT we had been to Olive Garden a few days before, so we chose Red Lobster for my special day! Every year, for about a two month window, R.L. has endless shrimp on special. I like shrimp... but Tim LOVES shrimp! So we definitely get our money's worth when we go! We only go to R.L. once a year, so we get our fill!

After dinner, we went to the fair! Tim and I went WITHOUT THE KIDS! It kinda felt wrong to go to such a fun and happy place sans children, but I was in heaven! It is hard to explain, but I LOVE THE FAIR!! We didn't even buy fun stuff, play games, or ride any rides; all we bought was a caramel apple funnel cake! It was amazing! It was like an apple fritter with caramel syrup on top. WOW!! I walked around on the midway, hand-in-hand with my love, with the biggest dorkiest smile on my face! I was so very happy!

We got home around 1140pm... we were so exhausted!! But the exhaustion was worth every single minute!

Today is my "Jesus Birthday!" Today is the anniversary of the day that I confessed with my mouth that JESUS IS LORD as a little girl!
