Five MInute Friday: Ordinary

 Five Minute Friday

On Fridays, hundreds of bloggers around the world join together over at Lisa-Jo Baker's blog to write for FIVE minutes about one topic. She gives the "prompt" word, I write whatever is on my heart for that word, then I link up to her post with hundreds of other people ... it's SUPER fun to read other people's thoughts ... one word with SO MANY DIFFERENT thoughts! I love it...wish I remembered to do Five Minute Friday more often!!

SO, without further ado, I start my timer...

Today's word:
ORDINARY

GO

The definition of "ordinary" is : with no special or distinctive features; normal.

We were created, as people, in the likeness of God. We, therefore, MUST be extra-ordinary! We are NOT normal! We are not "not special or distinctive" We are in HIS image ... and He is AMAZING! Therefore, we are amazing!!

All of the things on this earth were created by God. The plants, animals, trees, oceans, light, dark, EVERYTHING... If God made it, it's GOT to be extra-ordinary.

So then, what exactly IS "ordinary"?? I can't think of anything that I would classify as ordinary. All things IN HIM are always going to be extra-ordinary! Maybe I can't see the ordinary because I choose to fill my life with the extra-ordinary in Him!!

Bring on more extra-ordinary, God...
I don't ever WANT to see the ordinary!

STOP!

  1. Love your post! You wrote what I was thinking of. I love how though that God used ordinary simple people to serve Him--it seems the unlikely of people. =-)

  3. I love your enthusiasm! Amen! One of my favorite people always makes a point to remind us we are "not normal" people- the ones who see God in His creation and live for His Son. Funny- so many people try to hide that and blend in. I like to take your approach:) Thanks for stopping by my FMF. Delighted to read yours!
