Day Two

Today was not as nice as yesterday. Today was very painful. My meds say "4 tsp every 4 hours" ... but at about the 2 hour point, I was in horrible pain! So, I am doing 2 tsp every 2 hours... same amount, just spread out. This change seems to be helping me manage the pain a little better. My tongue feels pretty numb, so between the pain and the numb tongue, talking is a bit more challenging today! I ate pudding and yogurt w/o any problems. I tried eating grits... it took awhile, but I managed. My stomach has been growling, so I had Tim make some cheesy scrambled eggs. I told him to make 2...silly me! I ate probably 1 egg and then couldn't do it anymore. The whole eating process is very difficult!

The dr said that he doesn't recommend looking at my throat because it'll look nasty. Tim assured him that I probably will...often! I am... I am looking with a flashlight and taking pictures. Still trying to decide if I'll post the pics on here or not. Thinking about doing a progressive blog... when it's all healed, showing from start to finish. But not sure if I want to subject you all to them!! HOWEVER, many of you have asked to see pics, so maybe I will.... we'll see! I can see why though that the doctor suggests not looking! It's EWWW!

Anyways...back to my day! I got up at one point to get a shower and try to hang out with the kids for a little bit...I hadn't really seen the much since Thursday. But after only an hour, I was completely wiped out and had to come back to bed! So, here I am in bed... alternating between sleep, reading, and lap-topping (is that even a word??).... Hoping tomorrow feels a little better! I am drinking as much as I can handle...staying on top of my meds and numbing spray! So.... here's hoping!!
