The last few days have been terribly busy... I feel like I haven't stopped much at all! Friday was the member's only night of the TMOM (Tulsa Mothers of Multiples) Garage Sale.... so between set up, shopping, and working a shift of the sale, I spent 6 hours devoted to it! I was exhausted when I got home at 11pm. Then, Saturday morning, I awoke to tremendously cranky kids... ALL 4 OF THEM! It was a "I'm gonna lose it!" kind of day! Xander had a t-ball game. Got home from that at 1130, then fixed lunch for the kids, put them down for a nap, mom came over to sit while I went back to the garage sale. Spent another 3 1/2 hours there on the clean-up crew... another tiring few hours... but my day doesn't end here!!! Got home at 530, cooked dinner, went to bed for a 2 hour nap. Got up at 9 & went to work....
Work was horrendous! They piled so much junk on my plate; I hate that because I feel like I work & work & work and accomplish nothing! Got off Sunday morning, came home, cooked breakfast for the family & went to bed. Awoke again to cranky kids...not sure why, but the babies have been very fussy lately... must be teething!! GRRR! Got up, fixed dinner, hung out with the kids & hubby for a little bit, then went to work again. ANOTHER night of work with WAY too much to do! Felt like sitting down in tears by the end of the night.
Came home from work, got kids up, fed & dressed, took Xander to school, came home & CRASHED! But only 4 hours later, was awakened by crankiness.... UGH... I need sleep! Got up for a couple hours, then went back to bed for 2 hours.... got up, made dinner... and NOW...FINALLY, am sitting here taking time for me! HOWEVER, I am getting ready to go to work in a few minutes...so sad.... too bad I'm not rich! LOL
Sorry if I wore you out reading this.... thought I'd give you a little glimpse into my last few days... and this is only the surface of my weekend !!! HAHA!

Been a while
So, I've been slacking again.... I really should stay on top of this blogging thing... so much happens in a house of 4 kids, how can I NOT have anything to write about??
Two weeks ago, Tim and I escaped the reality that is our life...we went to Kansas City for 2 whole days! IT WAS LIKE HEAVEN! We left the kids at home with my mom & MIL...not sure they had as much fun as Tim and I did! LOL....
We left on that Friday afternoon. Got into KC just after rush hour...THANK GOD because we used map directions from Expedia & they got us LOST in KC... 2 times. SO, glad we weren't trying to figure out our way around there during rush hour! Good news though: after getting lost 2 times in KC & having to try to figure out my way on my own, I was pretty much all set for the rest of the weekend.... I knew my way around w/o any trouble!!
SO, anyways, on Friday night we went to the Skies Restaurant. It was AMAZING! It is a revolving restaurant that sits on top of a hotel in the middle of downtown KC! It's 500 feet above ground- when it rotates you can see the whole city! Since we were there at night, it was VERY romantic! All the city lights were so pretty...the ambiance was worth the money!! As you can probably imagine, it wasn't a cheap date!!
Saturday morning we woke when we woke...NO kids saying "mommy...daddy"- that was the best! We went to Quik Trip for breakfast.... that WAS a cheap date! LOL!!! Then we went to the Nelson-Atkins Museum. For anyone who's been to the Philbrook in Tulsa, this museum was like the Philbrook on steroids! IT WAS HUGE! Plus, it's free admission... always a good thing! We spent several hours there- loving every moment! These are my favorites:
statue &
picture. After the museum, we went to the movie theater to see The Last Song...loved it! After the movie we went to Barnes & Noble & I bought a book. Now, ordinarily, I wouldn't include such a seemingly insignificant detail, but I can count ON ONE HAND how many times I have bought MYSELF a book! This was such a momentous occasion that Tim took a picture! LOL!!
After the bookstore, we went to dinner at one of the MANY casinos that KC has to offer! Dinner was super yum!
Sunday started like Saturday: peaceful, quiet, & CHILDLESS! We didn't do much on Sunday; just went out for breakfast at another casino...it was yum too! Then we got on the road to head home! We ate lunch at Panda Express- it was yum too! Got home around 4pm (an hour earlier than my mom expected) ... so my mom was pleasantly surprised to be relieved from babysitting duty! Since we got home during naptime, we got to ease our way back into reality.... the kids woke up sporadically over the first hour that we were home! We spent the evening just hanging out with the kids! Loving every moment with the kids, but SO VERY REFRESHED after our weekend away!
